sCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT,

MACIE FRANK

The American Institute of Architects, Marianas Chapter is pleased is to announce this year’s scholarship winner, Macie Frank! Macie was awarded a $3,000 check during a virtual meeting with her parents and some members of the AIA Marianas Board and Scholarship Committee. 

Macie is currently pursuing her third year in architectural school at the University of Arizona. There she is the founding Vice President of Alpha Rho Chi, Secretary for Women in Architecture Society. She is also involved in the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, the American College of Sports Medicine Student Representative University of Arizona Fitness Coach, and is a member of the American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS). Macie has an interest in Healthcare Design and Integrative Technology, with a goal to pursue graduate studies to deepen her knowledge in the interdisciplinary areas.  She balances her time between Guam and Arizona and enjoys spending breaks on Guam with her family who are stationed here. This summer, she was an intern at RIM Architects and previously held an internship at the Guam Preservation Trust in 2023.

Macie is the latest recipient of the annual scholarship hosted by AIA Marianas. Each year, the Scholarship Committee sends out a call for applicants with ties to the Marianas who are pursuing a degree in architecture from a NAAB-accredited university. Macie joins several past winners who have all used the scholarship to assist with their financial needs as they finish their studies and become the next generation of architects.
