Guam’s Newest Architect,
Aaron Burger
AIA Marianas is happy to congratulate one of Guam’s newest architects, Aaron Burger. Aaron has been an active member in AIA Marianas, serving as the Secretary Pro Tem. He was influential in his work on the Inalajan and Humatak Revitalization projects and has been vital in the component’s growth over the past few years.
Aaron graduated with a 5-year Bachelor of Architecture degree from Philadelphia University, a NAAB accredited school, and had plans to jump right into an internship and proceed to examination. He then took a short tip to visit a friend in Guam in 2002 and hasn’t left since. He has work experience in engineering, construction, geographic information systems (GIS), and facilities maintenance. All of this was acquired from 2002 to February 2024, when his hard work had paid off through passing his final exam. Aaron enjoys being part of the design and construction community and isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty at a construction site.
“I am thankful for the AIA emerging professionals group and AIA Marianas which offered great comradery and support throughout my internship and examination” Aaron says, noting the newfound difficulty of the pandemic and having to navigate to online testing at home. In looking at the current state of the island,

On the current state of the island:
